La Tasqueta de Blai

La Tasqueta de Blai

Tapas are one of the most characteristic delicacies of Spain. They are small snacks, served cold and hot. In Barcelona, there are many tapas bars that serve tapas from just € 1. Most often you could try them in the evening in the company of beer or local wine.

A place that I want to show you, I already visited twice. Both visits were very enjoyable. Below you will find the exact address of the restaurant:

La Tasqueta de Blai puts all your delicacies on the top of the bar, which you can reach freely. The individual tapas are prepared in a larger quantity to give each guest a chance to try.

Some tapas looked very surprising but also impressive at the same time. In the first picture, you can see the plate with tapas selected by me, such as mini burger, stuffed pepper with minced meat, shrimp tempura served with vegetables and fried sausage. As you will notice, all tapas are served on a piece of crunchy baguette. In the second picture, you see tapas named by the restaurant – Sagrada Familia tapas. It is fried cone-shaped cake with stuffing with shrimp and crab sticks. As you probably noticed, most tapas selected by me have a red toothpick, which means a specific price – 1.80 €. However, stuffed peppers are marked with a regular toothpick and cost only 1 €.

After the finished degustation, the waiters are counting the toothpicks on the plate and prepares the bill. I really like the behavior of a restaurant that trusts its clients and wants to treat them like real guests.

Of all the tapas, the one with the prawn tasted for me the best – yummy! La Tasqueta de Blai also serves desserts in the tapas version. We were 5 people at dinner and we paid a total of € 63.3, approximately € 13 per person, ordering 12 tapas for 1 € and 18 tapas for 1.80 €. Alcohol prices were also fine, a glass of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) costs 2.50 €, and a small mug of 0.3l beer costs 2 €.

Tapas is a great opportunity to taste more than one dish, which gives you a chance to learn more about Spanish cuisine.

I highly recommend this place to you, as well as those located on this street. It is a bit far away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, so prices are lower and the food is much more authentic.

Don’t forget to share your opinion! 🙂
