Sooner or later we had to go to this tapas bar because we live only 50 meters away. Los Cachitos is located between Barcelona’s most famous street, Las Ramblas, and the El Poble Sec district.
The restaurant was established in 2005. In its menu you will find a wide selection of tapas, but also the main dishes such as paella with seafood (paella de marisco) or grilled rabbit (conejo). It is also worth to visit Los Cachitos in the morning for coffee and to order bocadillo (a sandwich usually served for breakfast). Los Cachitos usually open early i.e. at 8 a.m., which is early for a tapas bar.
We’ve tried the majority of tapas here and they are always very fresh and tasty.
However, there is one thing Los Cachitos do the best in the world and this is the reason why I always come back here! It is a typical Barcelona tapas – Bombas. The name sounds interesting? Let me explain. It’s a potato ball with a minced meat inside. The whole thing is deep-fried and served with spicy sauce. It is absolutely delicious!
Are you wondering how much it all costs? You can find the Los Cachitos menu on their website by clicking here. You can also see the receipt from our visit to see the for example prices for drinks (as the drink menu is not available on their website).
This place is located practically in the main city center of Barcelona, so you must check it out to discover how delicious Bombas they serve. In addition, the prices are really reasonable especially for this Barcelona location. A glass of wine and a small pint of beer is only 2€.
And finally, because we live so close and we come here so often, we had a chance to speak many times with the Service and the Owner. They are wonderfully nice people and that’s what makes this place amazing!
So, did I persuade you to visit Los Cachitos?
